Elias Geiger was born in Pennsylvania and orphaned at age 7. He apprenticed to a carpenter and learned the trade. After arriving in Ossian ca. 1840, he built steam sawmills, farmed and built this Italianate style home in 1871. The house still stands. At his death in 1895 from a kick to the head by one of his horses, Geiger was known as the richest man in town.
We are a rental facility for parties,weddings,family gatherings etc.and table and chair rental.Our grounds are over 4 acres with a large pavilion. Building rental includes tables and chairs, stocked kitchen privileges. 2 stoves, commercial refrigerator.

Established in 1814, the First Presbyterian Church of Ossian began as a log schoolhouse and meeting place before becoming a church in 1818. Today, it continues as a vibrant community of believers, welcoming all to worship Sundays at 9:00 AM.
